  • 10 leaves Cabbage Leaves
  • 1 cup Cooked Lentils
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Herbs (like parsley or dill)
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cabbage leaves by boiling them in a large pot of water for 3-5 minutes until tender but firm enough to roll. Cool and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until golden. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked lentils, rice, sautéed onion and garlic mixture, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs; mix well.
  4. Take a cabbage leaf and place 2 tablespoons of filling at the base. Roll tightly from the bottom up while tucking in the sides. Repeat until all filling is used.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place rolls seam-side down in a baking dish, drizzle with tomato sauce, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
