  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsulphered molasses
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Christmas colored sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, ginger, all-spice, cloves, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter with dark brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully blended.
  6. Scoop cookie dough into balls and roll in sprinkles before placing on lined baking sheets with enough space between them.
  7. Bake for about 11 to 14 minutes until edges are slightly darker but centers appear set.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
