  • 1 lb rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz) package Boursin cheese (garlic & herb flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook rigatoni according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, then add sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in minced garlic; cook for 1 minute before adding crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in Boursin cheese until melted.
  6. Combine cooked rigatoni with the sausage mixture and fresh basil.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish; top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until golden brown on top.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
